    You won’t have anough strings

It probably would sound weird. Bass strings are much, much heavier than regular guitar strings. You might not be able to get them up to pitch without warping the neck. The thicker core wires might not even fit through your machine heads, or the guitar bridge.

That said, remember Stevie Ray Vaughn used to get some of his tone from extra-heavy strings, so it may sound weird in a good way.

If you want to try it, get some old strings from a bass-playing buddy or some cheap-ass strings from a music store. Tune them up slowly, and keep checking the relief (distance from string to fingerboard at, say, the twelfth fret). If it starts getting large (say, more than twice normal), give up and take the bass strings back off before you damage the guitar permanently.

PS, bass strings come in sets of 4, (or 5) and guitars in sets of 6, so you may need an extra, or just leave one or two off.

it’s pretty good way to snap your neck
after all tension from guitar strings is about 200 lb
and bass strings would twice that much or more, think about it

First, they won’t fit…the hardware on a guitar is way too small. Second, even if you do succeed in doing it the guitar will self destruct.

The bass strings would be too long to put on a regular electric guitar. It’d be out of tune no matter what you play and how you tune it.
